Welcome to Deerfield Elementary School. Deerfield Elementary School is an (EC – 5) school in the Oak Creek – Franklin School District. We have a capacity of approx. 450 students. Deerfield is located in the Southeast corner of Oak Creek, just off Hwy 32 and Oakwood Road. Deerfield offers a high quality education, provided to our students by a highly qualified staff. We strive to provide our students with an excellent education in a safe, fun, and nurturing environment that is conducive to the overall development of each child. Our Service Learning Program incorporates our Garden Project where students actively participate in the planning and development of our vegetable garden every year. Each classroom has their own garden box and each is filled with a variety of flowers and vegetables. After harvesting, our school hosts a “Harvest Fest” where we offer a variety of soup options for the community to enjoy, with all proceeds donated to various organizations. Along with our hot lunch program, Deerfield has before and after school care services for students. The program opens at 6:45am and concludes at 7:50am; when children are dismissed to begin their school day. The after school care is offered from 2:30pm – 5:30pm with planned activities, snack and beverage. The parents at our school are a very active and integral part of the education process. Volunteers benefit the school immensely, from fund-raiser programs to offering their time as tutors, library support, classroom assistance, and chaperons for field trips. We encourage you to visit our website often, since it is updated throughout
the year, to learn more about Deerfield Elementary School. |
